This detail creates an efficient wall assembly by pairing a self-adhesive air/vapour barrier with extruded polystyrene thermal insulation panels. Check out the tech details below to see how these three SOPREMA products come together to create this exterior continuous insulated wall.
EXPLORE THIS WALL ASSEMBLY
SOPRASEAL STICK PRIMER is a primer specifically designed to enhance the adhesion of self-adhesive membranes on porous surfaces such as exterior gypsum boards at temperatures above – 30°C (-22°F) for an application with a brush or a roll, and above -10°C (14°F) for an application with a spray equipment.
It is composed of SBS synthetic rubbers, adhesive enhancing resins and volatile solvents.
SOPRASEAL STICK 1100 T is a self-adhesive membrane composed of SBS modified bitumen and a tri-laminated woven polyethylene facer. The tri-laminated woven polyethylene is compatible for the use of sprayed polyurethane foam insulation. The underface is covered with a silicone release paper or film.
SOPRASEAL STICK 1100 T is a air/vapour barrier, therefore functions as a above-grade waterproofing membrane within exterior wall assemblies. It is also used as a masonry and through wall flashing membrane as well as a waterproofing membrane at openings and transitions.
SOPRA-XPS 20 is a rigid thermal insulation board made of extruded polystyrene composed of closed cell foam. It is mainly used as thermal insulation for above grade SOPREMA wall systems and on the inside of foundation walls. It can also be used for residential applications on exterior foundation walls and under concrete slabs.
Moreover, this formula has zero ozone depletion potential and a very low global warming potential of 1. SOPRA-XPS 20 meets GREENGUARD GOLD certification.
