Hewson Brothers Launches The PinkPrints Project for Breast Cancer Awareness
Women-led, construction-fueled fundraiser scrapping the pink-washing to provide real financial support for women in treatment
Brantford, ON – September 11 2025 — This fall, in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, Hewson Brothers Building Supply is proud to announce the launch of the PinkPrints Project, a bold initiative designed to cut through “pink-washing” campaigns and provide direct, tangible support for women battling breast cancer.
“The truth about breast cancer is the financial burden can be just as devastating as the physical and emotional impact. That’s why we lessen the financial burden of patients who are living in poverty while they’re in treatment.”
Unlike traditional awareness campaigns that often stop at ribbons and merchandise, the PinkPrints Project funnels 100% of donations directly to the Breast Cancer Support Fund, an organization that provides financial relief for women in active treatment. Funds cover essential everyday expenses such as rent, groceries, heat, and childcare — critical costs that do not pause during cancer treatment.
A Personal Mission
The PinkPrints Project is championed by Beth Marchant, Marketing Specialist at Hewson Brothers and a Stage 3 breast cancer survivor.
“When I was diagnosed, I thought I’d have to give up my new role,” Marchant shared. “Instead, I was met with compassion, flexibility, and support that allowed me to keep working while focusing on my recovery. That kind of support changes everything, and really made me feel valued for my role within the company and as a person, but most women don’t have that safety net. Our PinkPrints project is about making sure they do.”
