You’ve seen it before: pink ribbons slapped on products that have nothing to do with helping women in treatment. Cute mugs. Glittery t-shirts. “Awareness” that doesn’t actually keep the heat on or put food in the fridge.

Yeah… we’re not doing that.

That’s why we’ve launched the PinkPrints Project — a women-led, construction-fueled fundraiser that’s about real help, real impact, and zero fluff. Every dollar goes to the Breast Cancer Support Fund, paying for the boring-but-critical stuff like rent, groceries, heat, and childcare for women fighting for their lives.

Why This Project Matters: A Message from Beth

“As a recent stage 3 breast cancer survivor, I started my position with Hewson Brothers in the early days of my breast cancer diagnosis. When I tried to turn down a position that I was genuinely excited for, I was met with support, understanding and the flexibility that allowed me to both pursue my passion for the building materials and construction industry, while still prioritizing my health and recovery.”

Most women do not have that luxury.

That is why Hewson Brothers, and our friends in the construction industry friends are raising money for the Breast Cancer Support Fund, helping women in treatment cover their everyday living expenses: rent, heat, groceries, and childcare. This breast cancer fundraiser is a bold, women-led fundraising initiative built by women in construction, survivors, friends, and supporters who know what it means to build through adversity.

Your Role in the Build

  • Skip the “charity merch” and put your dollars where they make a difference.
  • Donate Now – Every cent goes to supporting women through treatment.
  • Share the PinkPrints Project – Spread the word, ditch the ribbon fatigue.

Let’s stop painting it pink and start building it better. Hit that donate button and let’s give women the support they actually need.

Screw the Pink-Washing… Let’s Actually Help Women with Breast Cancer

  • Survivor, tradeswomen, and donor stories that hit harder than any “awareness campaign” ever could.
  • Fundraising installations that make people stop, stare, and give.
  • A whole lot of grit, grace, and community — no corporate gloss, no sugar-coating.

This isn’t about symbolism. It’s about action.

The truth about breast cancer is the financial burden can be just as devastating as the physical and emotional impact. That’s why we lessen the financial burden of patients who are living in poverty while they’re in treatment.

We help women with breast cancer. Not someday. Today.

Because the rent is due. Groceries must be bought. Hospital parking is expensive. And lost wages during treatment and recovery means less money for the bills. Despite millions raised to find a cure, very little priority has been placed on providing much needed financial support for the nearly 26,000 Canadians diagnosed with breast cancer every year.
